Local Firefighter Faces 5 Years in Prison for Child Porn

A Derry man who served as a Nashua firefighter admitted to possessing and distributing child pornography and now faces at least five years in prison.

Stephen Cote, 51, of Derry, pleaded guilty to several charges in federal court in Concord Friday.

Cote sent an e-mail containing child porn to a federal agent during a sting operation in 2013, prosecutors said. Cote stored a huge amount of child porn in his email account and sent it to dozens of people, they added.

Cote is scheduled to be sentenced in September.
