Local Man Arrested on Child Porn Charges

A local man is facing two counts of possession of child pornography after being arrested earlier today.

Calin Lapeer, 29, of Linlew Drive in Derry, was arrested at 10:36 a.m. on May 15, on two counts of felony possession of child sexual abuse images.

According to a press statement, members of the New Hampshire Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (Portsmouth, Auburn police departments), executed a search warrant against Lapeer after “an ongoing investigation involving the illegal use of computers and alleged possession of sexual abuse images of children at that address.”

Police seized “several computers and other computer hardware along with Lapeer’s 2009 Chevy pickup truck” and expect “additional related charges” as part of the investigation.

Lapeer is being held on $10,000 cash bail and was arraigned this afternoon in 10th Circuit Derry District Court.
