Samuel Adams presents the final stage of the Brewing the American Dream “Pitch Room,” a new national competition focused on the art of perfecting the sales pitch for food, beverage, craft brewing and hospitality small business owners.

Finalists from regional “Pitch Room” competitions in San Francisco, Denver, New York City and Boston will compete at the Samuel Adams Boston Brewery for the chance to win a $10,000 business grant and a series of personalized coaching sessions from Samuel Adams.

The contestants will get feedback on their 2-minute sales pitches from a panel of business savvy judges, including national retailers and potential buyers. The winner will be determined by criteria including pitch quality, viability of product, creativity and passion.

There will also be a “People’s Choice” winner. Videos of the finalists’ pitches will be posted on the Samuel Adams Facebook page. The small business owner with the most “likes” will be the “People’s Choice” winner and will receive a coaching package from Samuel Adams based on their specific business needs.

The Pitch Room Business Finalists are Moonlight Meadery of Londonderry, NH, Doves and Figs of Arlington, MA, Lindita’s Salsa of Denver, CO, Sea of Change Trading Company of San Francisco, CA, Brewla Bars of New York, NY and Luca & Bosco of New York, NY.

The event will be held on Monday, Dec. 9 at 5:30 p.m. (small business owners and judges arrive at 5:00 p.m.) at the Samuel Adams Boston Brewery, 30 Germania St., Jamaica Plain.

The “Pitch Room” helps move businesses towards gaining retail sales channels.
