In order to ensure privacy, Greenberg said the staff member's identity will remain confidential.

Viral meningitis can be caused by any number of viruses. The school district is asking parents to be alert for symptoms in their children. Common symptoms include high fever, severe headache, and stiff neck. Other symptoms include nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to light, rash, confusion, or sleepiness. These symptoms may develop over several hours or may take one to two days. If any of these symptoms appear, parents are urged to call their health care provider immediately.
