Londonderry Man Arrested for Assault, Aggravated DWI
NHSP: Shawn Gardner was allegedly assaulting his girlfriend while driving drunk on I-93 South with a child in his vehicle.

HOOKSETT, NH — A local man will be arraigned in court later this month after being arrested tonight while allegedly driving drunk on I-93 South, according to New Hampshire State Police. Shawn Gardner, 37, was arrested on Aug. 8, 2016, and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, domestic violence-simple assault, false imprisonment, and endangering the welfare of a child.

According to state police, a woman called to report that her boyfriend was allegedly “driving drunk” and “physically abusing her” as they proceeded southbound on I-93 at around 8:45 p.m.

The vehicle was stopped in Hooksett and after a roadside investigation, Garden was arrested on numerous charges, including endangerment of a child, after police found that there was a seven-month old child in the vehicle at the time of the stop.
Gardner is due in Hooksett District Court on Aug. 30.
