Londonderry Man Charged After Crashing Into Sign

The following are excerpts from the Londonderry police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Aug. 24

12:52 p.m. – Emir Melkic, 31, of 6 Mallard Lane, Apt. D, Hooksett, was charged with burglary. He was given a court date of Sept. 17 at 8:15 a.m. in Derry District Court.

1:25 p.m. – Brian Paul Murphy Jr., 21, of 2 Fenway St., Apt. R, Derry, was charged with two counts of theft by deception. He was held on $10,000 cash bail and given a court date of Aug. 27 at 8:30 a.m. in Derry District Court.

3:49 p.m. – Tim Albert Grella Jr., 35, of 23A Central St., Hudson, was arrested on a bench warrant. He was released on $60 personal recognizance bail and given a court date of Sept. 13 at 8 a.m. in Nashua District Court.

8:57 p.m. – Maryanne Coultas, 48, of 174 Tyngsborough Road, North Chelmsford, Mass., was charged with driving under the influence of drugs or liquor. She was released on $2,500 personal recognizance bail and given a court date of Sept. 17 at 8:15 a.m. in Derry District Court.

Saturday, Aug. 25

12:44 a.m. – James George Prevel, 73, of 5 Briarwood Drive, Nashua, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs or liquor and lane control. He was released on $1,500 personal recognizance bail and given a court date of Sept. 17 at 8:15 a.m. in Derry District Court.

5:57 p.m. – Stephen Nicholas Bally, 20, of 42 Hall Road, Londonderry, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs or liquor, possession of drugs in a motor vehicle and possession of controlled/narcotic drugs after hitting a sign with his car at the intersection of Nashua and Mammoth roads. He was released on $3,500 personal recognizance bail and given a court date of Sept. 17 in Derry District Court.
