Londonderry Man Dies in Motorcycle Accident on I-495

A local man lost his life earlier today after a crash on I-495 ramp near Commonwealth Drive in Lawrence, MA.

The name of the man is being held pending family notification, according to a press statement.

Mass. State Police were called to the crash around 4:40 p.m. on Oct. 17, and found that the motor vehicle was traveling on the ramp structure and the rider lost control of the bike and crashed.

“The operator was transported to Lawrence General Hospital where he was subsequently pronounced dead,” according to the report.

The crash remains under investigation. It is unknown whether there were any other vehicles involved in the accident.
