Londonderry Man Indicted for Allegedly Assaulting Woman with Knife

Jason R. Palmer allegedly held a woman down on a bed with a knife to her throat.

A Londonderry man was indicted this month on assault and threatening charges stemming from an incident last year.

Jason R. Palmer, 35, of 15B Reed St., Londonderry was indicted by a Rockingham County Superior Court grand jury in July on one count of first degree assault, one count of simple assault, one count of criminal threatening and one count of criminal restraint.

According to the indictment, on Nov. 17, 2012, Palmer purposely placed a woman "in fear of imminent bodily injury" by brandishing a knife at her. He also allegedly "confined the woman unlawfully in circumstances exposing her to risk of serious bodily injury" by holding her down on a bed with a knife to her throat. He allegedly caused bodily injury to the woman – a laceration to her neck – by pressing the knife against her neck and also by striking her in the face with his hand.

Palmer was originally arrested in Londonderry on Nov. 17, according to the Londonderry Police log.
