Londonderry Principal Named PTA Administrator of the Year

Matthew Thornton Elementary School Principal Carol Mack has been named the New Hampshire Parent Teacher Association Administrator of the Year.

Nominated by members of the Matthew Thornton PTA last spring, Mack was given the award during the annual NHPTA Convention earlier this month.

"It was hard to sum Carol up in just the few little sentences they gave us," PTA President Sharon Fawcett said at last week's School Board meeting. "She's always there for the PTA and always there for us and for the entire school. We thought it was about time that someone nominate her."

The School Board recognized Mack with a standing ovation and bouquet of flowers at its Nov. 20 meeting.

"These ladies just go out of their way all the time; they would make anyone look good," Mack said of the PTA members. "Thank you to the PTA, and Matthew Thornton is honored to have them."
