Londonderry State Senator Endorses Gatsas

Carson said the GOP candidate had the executive experience and fiscally conservative message New Hampshire needed in a next governor.

LONDONDERRY, NH — This week, Senate President Pro Tem Sharon Carson, R-Londonderry, endorsed Manchester Mayor Ted Gatsas ahead of the Republican gubernatorial primary citing his business experience and executive experience as Mayor of the state's largest city, according to a press statement. Carson pointed to their previous work in the state Senate together during her first term and added that she looked forward to working with him again when he is elected statewide.

"Ted's experience as a successful self-made businessman and as Mayor of Manchester is unmatched in the Republican Primary," she said in a press release. "In Manchester Ted has cut taxes, reduced regulations and created an environment for business to grow and jobs to be created. As Mayor, Ted has been a leading voice in the fighting the opioid epidemic in our state. He implemented Manchester's Safe Station program that helped hundreds of people since May, worked to expand access to treatment and recovery services, and has taken a hardline approach to targeting drug dealers."

Carson added, "Ted has the executive experience and fiscally conservative message we need in our next governor."
