LONDONDERRY PATCH STORM CENTRAL UPDATES, CLOSINGS & MORE:
Sunday, Feb. 10 –
11:30 a.m.: No major snow related outages or issues to report this morning in Londonderry. We're checking in with town officials now to see if they're experiencing any issues, and we'll report back as soon as we hear anything.

Saturday, Feb. 9 –
9:20 a.m.: The town just sent out the following alert:

Winter storm continues with additional snow and blowing snow. Please stay off the roads during the clean up phase. For any information please call Fire dispatch at 432-1124 of Police dispatch at 432-1118
9 a.m.: Looks like Londonderry has gotten about 18 inches of snow so far, with more to come. Despite the large number of outages in Massachusetts, there are no outages in Londonderry at this time and only a handful throughout New Hampshire.
Friday, Feb. 8 –
2 p.m.: Gov. Maggie Hassan is asking New Hampshire residents to be off the roads by 7 p.m. Friday and to stay off the roads through Saturday afternoon. For more from this afternoon's press conference, click here.
1:45 p.m.: The Fire Marshal just issued a list of storm safety tips, including generator safety and other useful information.
12:15 p.m.: Londonderry Police just issued the following storm update:
A major winter storm will bring heavy snow and high impact winds to New Hampshire and the region later today through early Saturday. Snow will be measured in feet for some areas
Scattered snow showers will be likely through Friday morning, mostly across areas north of the Lakes Region and near the Seacoast. Light snow will fill in during the afternoon hours across the entire state. Snow will increase across New Hampshire, peaking from 7-8pm this evening through early Saturday morning. The snow should be heaviest from the Lakes Region and points south. Snow should diminish later Saturday morning before ending by later Saturday afternoon. Snow accumulations of 18-24 inches, with localized totals of up to 30 inches, will be possible. Snow accumulations of 8-14 inches will be possible across areas just north of the Lakes Region. Snow accumulations of 3-8 inches will be possible across the Great North Woods.
For the New Hampshire Seacoast, winds will increase later Friday evening. Sustained winds will be 25-40 mph, with frequent gusts of 40-50 mph. A few isolated peak gusts of 50-60 mph will be possible. Winds will stay strong through Friday night and should gradually diminish on Saturday morning. Winds should gust to less than 35 mph by 6pm Saturday.
For the rest of New Hampshire, winds will increase Friday evening. Winds will be sustained at 20-30 mph, with frequent gusts of 30-40 mph after 10pm Friday through early Saturday morning. Isolated gusts of 40-50 mph will be possible. Winds will gradually diminish later Saturday morning and afternoon. Winds should gust to less than 35 mph by 6pm Saturday.
Conditions will improve Saturday afternoon and evening. Sunday should be a quiet day for cleaning up.
Residents are encouraged to report power outages via the PSHN's website (www.psnh.com) or by calling PSNH's 24/7 Call Center at 1-800-662-7764.
If your power is lost, and you use your generator, please operate it in a safe manner. If you have any questions concerning the proper operation of a home generator, you can contact the Londonderry Fire Department at 432-1124.
The Londonderry Police Department is asking residents not to park in roadways so snow plow crews can keep roads clear during this snow event.
11:10 a.m.: The town also just sent out a list of tips for preparing for today's snowstorm. We've attached it as a PDF to the right.
11 a.m.: The town just sent out an update, reminding residents that Town Hall will close at noon today. The town has upgraded its automatic voice prompts for the Town Hall phone system so that callers will be directed to the correct resource for any outages or storm related issues. The town also urges residents to use the Emergency Banner and Alerts on the www.londonderrynh.org website, which will be updated throughout the storm.
6:30 a.m.: The Blizzard Warning, which had been in effect only for coastal Rockingham County, has now been expanded to include all of Rockingham County, eastern Hillsborough County and Strafford County. That means you, Londonderry! No outages or crashes to report at this hour.

Thursday, Feb. 7 —
10 p.m.: School has been cancelled on Friday in Londonderry. Additionally, the School Deliberative Session originally scheduled for Friday night has been postponed until Monday, Feb. 11 at 7 p.m. at Londonderry High School.
3:15 p.m.: Londonderry Town Hall will close at noon Friday due to the storm, according to an email alert sent out by the town. The town also just posted a press release on its website saying that despite the storm, "every effort will be made to complete scheduled curbside trash and recycling pickups" on Friday. Residents are urged to place their containers several feet from the road edge so they don't interfere with plowing operations.
3 p.m.: Nemo is officially a blizzard in New Hampshire now. The National Weather Service just declared a Blizzard Warning for Coastal Rockingham County from 2 p.m. Friday through 4 p.m. Saturday. In Londonderry, though, it's still just a Winter Storm Warning. A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring, with falling and blowing snow with strong winds and poor visibility likely.
12:45 p.m.: The Londonderry Police Department just issued a storm update with some important information for residents.
10:45 a.m.: The New Hampshire Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management just issued a warning, urging people to take precautions in advance of the storm. They're saying the storm is expected to cause power outages and extremely bad road conditions. We've added that information and a list of tips on how to prepare to our earlier story.
10:40 a.m.: OK, just got an update from School Business Administrator Peter Curro. School activities like band and athletic events have been cancelled, but no decision yet on whether classes will be cancelled on Friday. A decision will likely come around 4 a.m. Friday. Also still no decision on whether Friday night's School Deliberative Session will be recessed. Curro said a decision will be made by 9 a.m. Friday. If it is postponed, it will be held on Monday instead.
10:30 a.m.: The Londonderry schools just announced that due to the impending winter snow storm; all activities scheduled in school buildings Friday and Saturday have been cancelled. I'm on the phone with the school department now trying to find out if this means school has already been cancelled for Friday. Update coming shortly.
10 a.m.: Thanks to Fire Chief Kevin MacCaffrie, who just added a Londonderry storm update to Londonderry Patch. He said he'll have a further update after a noon briefing with the state.
9 a.m.: A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for interior and coastal Rockingham County, with a predicted 14 to 24 inches of snow expected to accumulate beginning tonight.
