Londonderry Woman Netted in 'Hot Spot' Heroin Sweep
Amber Carlow was arrested this morning in Manchester.

Manchester Police have been holding “hot spot” patrols in some parts of the Queen City in an effort to corral people who are allegedly involved in drug sales.
Yesterday, police arrested three subjects. Early this morning, they arrested a Londonderry woman, Amber Carlow, 23, in the area of Beech and Spruce streets. She was later charged with possession of a controlled drug (heroin).
According to police, at around 2:45 a.m., an officer patrolling the area saw two pedestrians in the middle of the street. He stopped one, Carlow, who appeared to be making suspicious actions and movements, specifically, “repeated attempts to reach into her pockets.”

The officer spoke with Carlow “about her behavior and the reason for the stop” and she allegedly admitted to having a needle in her pocket. A subsequent search reportedly yielded 0.77 grams of heroin, the syringe, and two burnt spoons.
Police were unable to locate the second subject, according to the report.
