According to New Hampshire State Police, troopers were sent to I-93 South near Exit 4 in Londonderry for a report of a crash. When they and Londonderry Fire and Rescue teams arrived at the scene, they reportedly found an Acura 32TL off on the east side of the roadway in the center media. A man – Rodriguez – was out of the vehicle and determined to be the driver, according to Sgt. Steven Wheeler of the NHSP.

“Rodriguez’s passenger, a 22-year-old female, sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision and was pronounced deceased on the scene,” Wheeler reported. “Based upon the initial on-scene investigation, it appears that the Acura was traveling southbound on Interstate 93 when it lost control, entered the center median, and rolled over several times.”

Later in the day, NHSP identified the passenger as Jeena Yvette Ortiz, 22, of Methuen, MA.

At the request of the initial responding units, the New Hampshire State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction, (C.A.R.) Unit responded to the scene. Wheeler noted that troopers were assisted on scene by the New Hampshire Department of Transportation, as well as The Office of the State Medical Examiner.

“Due to the collision, Interstate 93 Southbound in this area was closed for approximately three hours,” he noted.

At post time, speed and alcohol have determined to have been factors in this crash, “however all aspects remain under investigation, including the identity of the passenger,” Wheeler added.
