Local Woman Drove Drunk with Kid in Car, Cops Say

Kerry Dovidio, 41, of 4 Dumpling Way, was arrested Sunday night.

A Merrimack woman on Sunday was charged with driving drunk with a child in her car.

Kerry Dovidio, 41, of 4 Dumpling Way, was arrested Sunday night.

Police said they pulled her over after receiving a call from a motorist that Dovidio was driving her 2005 Volvo erratically on Premium Outlets Boulevard. An officer said she had alcohol on her breath.

NECN reported she had a child in the vehicle at the time of her arrest.

Dovidio was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI, endangering the welfare of a child, falsifying evidence, and transportation alcohol. Her bail was set at $5,000. She’s due for an arraignment Aug. 18.

Dovidio has previous dealings with police.

In 2012, she was cited for allegedly crossing into the opposite lane of traffic while driving her Volvo in Tyngsboro, Mass. She hit two vehicles, injuring several people, according to the Lowell Sun. Dovidio suffered a broken leg; her child was also in the car at the time of the crash, police said. Dovidio was living in Londonderry at the time of that crash, the Sun reported.
