New Assistant Principal Hired for Londonderry Middle School

The Londonderry School Board announced Wednesday that it has hired David Sutherland as the new assistant principal at Londonderry Middle School.

He will replace Wendy Hastings, who was recently named the principal at Goffstown Middle School.

Sutherland received his Bachelor of Science in business administration from Northeastern University, his Masters of Education from Lesley University and his principal certification through Rivier College. He has been the assistant principal of the K-8 School in Allenstown this past year and has been a sixth grade math, science and social studies teacher at McKelvie Intermediate School in Bedford and has taught science at Rupert A. Nock Middle School in Newburyport, Massachusetts, as well as having held a variety of teaching positions at the Mystic Valley Regional Charter School in Malden, Massachusetts.

Prior to starting his educational career, he worked in the private sector as both a quality assurance manager and a databases designer and integration specialist. He and his family live in Londonderry. 

"We believe David will be an excellent addition to the middle school administrative team, and will assist the faculty and staff in continuing to provide outstanding service to our students, parents and community," " said Richard Zacchilli, principal of Londonderry Middle School, in a prepared statement.
