The executive director of an historic building group has been appointed to the New Hampshire Historical Resources Council.

Nashua resident Linda Willett oversees Historic Harrisville Inc., “ a non-profit public foundation that rehabilitates Harrisville’s mid-19th century mill buildings to provide space for small businesses, manufacturers, artists, affordable housing, the post office and the general store,” the state Department of Cultural Resources said in a press release.

“Willett has also been curator of buildings for the Society for the Preservation of New England Antiquities (now called Historic New England) and program associate at the National Trust for Historic Preservation. She has served on the boards of several organizations focused on historic preservation, including the Hunt Building Restoration Committee, Inherit New Hampshire (now renamed the New Hampshire Preservation Alliance) and the Nashua Historic District Commission,” officials said.

The historical resources council advises “the Division of Historical Resources to review, recommend and approve specific program activities, including reviewing nominations to the State and National Registers of Historic Places,” officials said.
