Night Work to Begin Tonight on I-93

Traffic delays should be expected this week.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces night work associated with the construction of the four new Interstate 93 Exit 5 bridges in Londonderry.

Weather permitting, demolition operations on the out-of-service I-93 northbound bridge over Route 28 will take place on the nights of Monday, Sept. 10 and Thursday, Sept. 13. This work will take place during non-commuter hours, from approximately 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. each night. Minor traffic delays can be expected.

This bridge work will require traffic on Route 28 northbound and southbound to be intermittently detoured utilizing I-93. This bridge work will also require traffic exiting I-93 northbound to Route 28 northbound, and I-93 southbound to Route 28 southbound at Exit 5 to be intermittently detoured to reverse direction at the next I-93 exit.
