Londonderry will no longer be able to hang its Old Home Day banner over Mammoth Road, <a href="http://www.unionleader.com/article/20130403/NEWS/130409702/0/FRONTPAGE" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">according to the Union Leader</a>. The road, also known as Route 128, is state-owned, and thus the banner violates state law. The banner has been hung over the road for years to advertise the annual event, which is scheduled for Aug. 14 to 18 this year. Members of the Old Home Day Committee are working on an alternative plan, like hanging the banner on trees or at the town common.
