OBITUARY: Sondra Joan Rand

Sondra J. Rand, 76, of Chester passed away Saturday February 2, 2013 at Elliot Hospital in Manchester, after a lengthy illness. She was born March 29, 1936 in Altoona. PA and was the daughter of the late Orville and Melinda (Stuart) Miller. Sondra was raised and educated in Altoona and was a graduate of the Temple University School of Nursing in Philadelphia. She has been a resident of Chester for the past 57 years.

Sondra was a homemaker and also worked from home as a food supplement distributor for Shaklee Products for over 40 years. She was a long time member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints, in Derry. She was very artistic and enjoyed crafting. Sondra also loved cooking and baking.

Members of the family include her beloved husband of 57 yrs. John S. Rand of Chester, three sons, William and his wife Denise of Alpine, CA, Robert and his wife Jill of Auburn and David and his partner Jason of Falmouth, ME., seven grandchildren, Carrie, Cassie, Connor, Dustin, Christopher, Joseph and Matthias, as well as seven great grandchildren who she loved dearly. She was predeceased by her daughter Sharon Reinfurt in 2001.

Calling hours will be Friday, February 8, 2013 from 4 to 7 pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street Derry, NH. A Funeral Service will be celebrated Saturday, February 9, at 12pm at the Derry Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 50 Adams Pond Rd. Derry. Burial will be held at Great Hill Cemetery of Chester in the spring.
