Queen City Sex Offender Busted on Burglary Charge
Police: William O'Reilly – a convicted assaulter and thief – allegedly kicked in a door of a Londonderry home on Sunday morning.

LONDONDERRY, NH — A Manchester man, with a long criminal history, was arrested this weekend and held on cash bail after allegedly burglarizing a home on Wheelwright Circle Sunday morning. William O’Reilly, 26, of Manchester, was arrested on March 26, 2017, and charged with burglary, simple assault, and possession of a controlled drug.

Police were sent to the home for a report of an unwanted subject in the home around 12:30 a.m., after the caller reported hearing a loud bang while he was sleeping, noted Det. Christopher Olson of the Londonderry Police Department.

“According to the report, the caller went to investigate the noise and found an unknown male standing next to a door that had been kicked in,” Olson alleged. “The suspect had a brief conversation with the victim before the suspect allegedly assaulted the victim and tried to steal a jacket. The victim reported that the suspect ran from the residence prior to officers arriving on scene.”
Officers allegedly caught O’Reilly in the driveway of the residence. The victim and the subject did not know each other, according to the report. O’Reilly was arrested, processed, and held on $5,000 cash bail. He was arraigned yesterday.

According to the state’s online sex offender database, O’Reilly was convicted of two counts of sexual assault in Hillsborough County Superior Court-South in October 2010. He has previous convictions for domestic-violence-stalking, criminal threatening, disorderly conduct, duty to report, driving under the influence, drug possession, theft, and simple assault dating back nearly nine years.
