Santa Steals Baby Stroller, Gets Busted: Report
During Santa Shuffle and Christmas Parade, Manchester Police arrest alleged thief.
Hundreds of runners dressed up as Santa Claus during Manchester’s Santa Shuffle on Dec. 5, 2015, may have seemed like a good opportunity for some thievery but not with Queen City cops on the beat.
In the middle of today’s road race, a man reportedly took off with a stroller and all of the personal belongings inside it.
“The stroller owner gave a description which sounded familiar to MPD and they quickly located the man who had the stroller but the personal belongings were missing,” according to Jeffrey Hastings of Frame of Mind Photography, who was shooting the road race for ManchesterInformation.com.

Police arrested the man and transported him to police headquarters to be booked. The stroller was returned to the woman who stayed and watched the parade which followed the Santa Shuffle, according to Hastings.
About 3,000 people participated in the race with nearly all of them wearing Santa suits. The race is a benefit for Safe Sports Network, which provides free athletic training services to a number of New Hampshire high schools.
