Second Inmate Walks Away from Housing Unit: NH DOC
UPDATE: Thomas Ramirez, a criminal threat convict serving 3 years, who failed to return from an outing, was arrested on Nov. 6 in Bedford.

11:04 a.m. on Nov. 7, 2016: The NH DOC has announced that Thomas Andrew Ramirez is in custody. According to according to Jeffrey Lyons, a public information officer for the NH DOC, he was arrested in Bedford on Nov. 6, and will be returned to the New Hampshire State Prison in Concord later today.
"There are no further details at time but as information becomes available we will share it," Lyons noted.

MANCHESTER, NH — The New Hampshire Department of Corrections and New Hampshire State Police are searching for a minimum security inmate who was placed on walk away status from the Calumet Transitional Housing Unit on Lowell Street in Manchester last night, according to officials. Thomas Andrew Ramirez, 24, of Manchester, was given permission to attend an outing and was ordered to return at 11 p.m., according to Jeffrey Lyons, a public information officer for the NH DOC, but he did not return.
“(Ramirez) failed to respond to multiple attempts to contact him and was placed on walkaway status at approximately 1 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016,” he noted.

Ramirez is 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighs around 130 lbs., and has brown hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo on his left arm. He was sentenced in Hillsborough County Superior Court in Manchester to 1 1/2 to three years in prison for criminal threatening and had 57 days of time served credited to his sentence. Ramirez was eligible for parole on Jan. 23, 2017 with a maximum release date of July 27, 2018.
The New Hampshire Department of Corrections Investigations Bureau and the New Hampshire State Police are investigating the case and are asking anyone with information on his whereabouts should contact the NHSP or local law enforcement.
A walkaway is considered an escapee and is a Class B Felony, punishable by up to 3 1/2 to seven years in prison.
Inmate William Clayton Roy who walked away from the Calumet Transitional Housing Unit on Nov. 2, 2016, still remains missing, according to Lyons.
