Seymour Re-Elected as Town Clerk
Gary Vermillion won election to a 2-year term on the Budget Committee in the only other contested race on Tuesday.

Town Clerk/Tax Collector Meg Seymour was re-elected on Tuesday, beating out challenger Patti Hanley Maccabe by a 2-to-1 margin.
Seymour received 1,225 votes to Maccabe's 586 in one of the day's two contested races. In the other contest, Gary Vermillion defeated Glenn Douglas by a narrow, 54-vote margin to win a 2-year seat on the Budget Committee.
All of the town warrant articles passed, including the $27.5 million town budget and a proposal to spend $101,000 on a School Resource Officer. Also passed was a warrant article calling for the expenditure of $227,000 to pave one mile of the Rail Trail created by Londonderry Trailways.

On the school side of the ballot, there were no contested races, but several big money articles.

Article 2, calling for $4.5 million in district-wide renovations and construction, received the support of only 56.7 percent of voters, short of the 60 percent needed for passage.
The only other school article that failed was Article 8, calling for the establishment of a vehicle and large equipment capital reserve fund to fund the acquisition of school vehicles.
All other school articles passed, including the $66 million school budget, an article calling for $170,000 worth of school security improvements and another calling for an $8,500 expenditure to establish a Varsity Ski Team at Londonderry High School.
