LHS Winter Concert Canceled Due to Snow

UPDATE: Tonight's Winter Concert has been canceled due to the snowstorm, meaning U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen will not be coming to the school as planned.

U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, D-NH, will be in Londonderry on Wednesday to congratulate members of the Londonderry High Lancers Marching Band for being selected to perform in next week's Presidential Inaugural Parade.

It's just the latest honor for the band, .
Shaheen will attend the band's Winter Concert, which is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday at Londonderry High School. She's also expected to co-conduct the band with band director Andy Soucy in a performance of the "Washington Post March."

Earlier in the day, Shaheen is scheduled to make stops at the Woodbury School in Salem and the Derry Veterans Building.
She'll be in Salem at 11 a.m. to congratulate Woodbury School teacher Michele Brustolon for her selection to speak at the Smithsonian's Museum of Natural History. She was one of just three teachers from across the country invited to speak about oceanic science at an event next December.
At 2:15 p.m., Shaheen will tour the Derry Veterans Building on West Broadway to learn about the energy upgrades the town has made to improve the building's efficiency.
