Why are you seeking elective office?

I understand that it’s not always easy for everyone to step forward, nor does everyone have the extra time and energy required for a position like the Town Council. That’s why I chose to run because we are all neighbors in Londonderry. We all do our part and contribute in some way to make this wonderful town what it is. This is my way of helping my neighbors instead of saying “Someone should”...

The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.

Our rising tax rate in these tough economic times is hitting many residents of Londonderry hard, at a time when rising inflation and utility rates are increasing costs across the board. The best thing I can do to help that situation is to get the most for our tax dollars while improving on the things that make Londonderry a great place to live. My top priority is fiscal responsibility and good stewardship of the budget.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I'm the only one who hasn't been part of the status quo. Change is on the ballot. Change in leadership can bring fresh perspectives and new ideas to the table. When a new leader comes in, they often bring a different set of experiences and expertise than their predecessor, which can lead to innovative solutions to long-standing problems. This is particularly important in the fast-paced, ever-changing world we live in today, where adaptability is key.

If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)

Communication & being in touch with the voters of Londonderry is something that has been degrading over time.

Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

I bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the Council, having worked in the private sector as a software executive for many years, helping companies with small budgets maximize their successes. Ever since I’ve been lucky enough to call Londonderry home, I’ve been keeping track of the on-goings in our local government. I’ve built an understanding of the financial, operational, and organizational challenges that our town faces and I have the skills and knowledge to help address them effectively.

The best advice ever shared with me was:

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

When it comes to my leadership style, I've been told repeatedly I "Lead with Yes".
Does that mean I'm a rubber stamp for anything anyone asks? Certainly not!
Leading with Yes, is a mentality to taking on problems.
If you come to me with a concern:
* The first words out of my mouth are not going to be telling you all the reasons that can't happen.
* I'm not going to tell you the problem is out of my hands & shrug my shoulders saying I wish I could help you.
* I'm going to immediately start racking my brain for how we can get to a solution to your concern, come up with some options & we can discuss the pros/cons of those solutions.
Can I solve everything? No. But I promise you, that I'm sure going to do all I can to find out first!
