Six Companies Get Job Training Grants
Gov. Hassan announces list of matching grants that will help train 327 New Hampshire workers with new skills.

Continuing her efforts to help New Hampshire workers develop the skills and innovative thinking needed for good jobs in the 21st century economy, Gov. Maggie Hassan announced today that six New Hampshire companies have been awarded job training grants to help them train 327 workers in new skills.
The job training grants total $66,460, and the companies contributed the same in matching funds to bring the total amount for training workers to $132,920.
“I am proud to announce another round of important grants to help prepare workers for good jobs at New Hampshire’s growing businesses,” said Hassan. “New Hampshire’s Job Training Fund is a critical resource that has helped thousands of workers develop important skills. In order to support the business community’s efforts to create good jobs and keep New Hampshire’s economy moving in the right direction, we must continue to focus on strengthening our workforce pipeline through job training and higher education.”

Felton Inc. of Londonderry received a grant of up to $7,800 for 70 employees to receive AS9100 Certification Training from Global Systems.
A grant of $5,100 was awarded to Amherst Label Inc. of Milford for 13 employees to receive reporting and analysis training for their Label Traxx ERP system and Excel and Outlook training from Nashua Community College.

EnviroVantage Inc. of Epping received a Job Training Fund grant of $8,360 for Westvale consulting to provide training to 12 employees in executive and leadership skills.
Foss Manufacturing Co. LLC of Hampton received a grant of up to $12,915 for training 50 employees in work-ready skills, supervision and leadership, statistical process control and root-cause analysis at Great Bay Community College.
Fujifilm Dimatix Inc. of Lebanon will use its Job Training Fund grant of up to $17,850 to train 140 employees in Lean manufacturing with the New Hampshire Manufacturing Extension Partnership.
Littleton Coin Company LLC of Littleton received a grant of up to $14,435 for DMA to train 42 employees in direct marketing skills.
The Job Training Fund has awarded $7,392,663.64 in grants since October 2007, with employers contributing $10,030,865.61 for a total of $17,423,529.25 in new training for 22,009 New Hampshire workers.
