Police received two calls about the loose cattle roaming around the mall property not long after it had closed for the evening.

Two officers responded to the scene and did all they could to keep the cows away from South Willow Street and I-293, according to Jeffrey Hastings of Frame of Mind Photography, who went to the mall after hearing the activity on his scanner.
“Using their cruisers, lights, and sirens, they kept them moving,” Hastings stated.

After about an hour, the owner of the cows arrived and assisted police in getting the cows back home. The cows were recently moved to the farm and during the course of the evening, somehow managed to leave the property and wander their way through backyards to the mall, according to police.
The animals were returned safety to the farm, unharmed, Hastings noted.
