LHS Football Player Suffers Neck Injury
A helicopter landed at Londonderry High School earlier today.

A student-athlete suffered a possible neck injury with complications during football practice today, according to Superintendent Nate Greenberg.
A DHART (Dartmouth-Hitchcock Advanced Response Team) Helicopter landed at Londonderry High School shortly after 4 p.m.
According to Greenberg, the student, who is a sophomore at LHS, landed on the side of his head.

Greenberg said the helicopter transported the student-athlete to Beth Israel Hospital in Boston.
He added that the decision to move the student was made by an EMT after the Londonderry Fire Department was contacted by the school's athletic trainer.

"They said because he was complaining of numbness in his arms (that) DHART should transport him," Greenberg said. "Hopefully it is just a precautionary move."
While Greenberg is not allowed to identify the student, he said that the school district is hoping for more information by tomorrow morning.
