Students to Cut Hair for 'Beautiful Lengths'

The event will be held at 8:40 a.m. in the Londonderry High School gym.

In the true spirit of "If you want to see a miracle, be the miracle," on Friday, Jan. 11, over 160 students, parents and staff will donate eight inches of their hair, in a simultaneous cut on the gym floor, at the Londonderry High School Day of Giving Celebration, Londonderry, NH, starting at 8:40 am.

Their donated ponytails, as part of the Pantene Beautiful Lengths campaign, will be made into real-hair wigs, to be distributed free to cancer patients undergoing treatment through the American Cancer Society.

This is the seventh year the high school has held the donation, each year exceeding the previous world record for a high school donation. There will be some very special surprises at this event this year, including live Twitter feeds to the Pantene web pages.
