Town Hires Firm to Handle Economic Development
Arnett Development Group will be paid on a contract basis.

The Town Council has approved the hiring of an outside firm to handle the town's economic development needs, according to the Derry News.
The weekly newspaper reported last week that the council voted to hire Arnett Development Group out of Concord on a contract basis for any economic development related work that should arise. The town expects the cost to be lower than if it had hired a full-time employee for the same purpose.
The town decided earlier this year not to hire an economic development director after the departure of Andre Garron. Instead, the town restructured the Planning and Economic Development Department, giving the three existing department employees additional responsibilities, with the idea that outside contractors would be used for economic development services as needed.
