Tupelo Announces Five New Shows

The FIXX is among the new acts booked at the Londonderry music hall.

We have FIVE new Londonderry shows to announce this week!

February 28 WISHBONE ASH: Wishbone Ash is a British rock band who achieved success in the early and mid-1970s. Their popular records included Wishbone Ash , Argus, There's the Rub , and New England . They were one of the first of many bands to come who used twin lead guitars. Wishbone Ash is considered to be one of the major innovators of the harmony twin lead guitar format. Their contributions helped in Powell and Turner being voted "Two Of The Ten Most Important Guitarists In Rock History" (Traffic magazine 1989), and part of the "Top 20 Guitarists Of All Time" (Rolling Stone). Melody Maker (1972) described Ted Turner and Andy Powell as "the most interesting two guitar team since the days when Beck and Page graced The Yardbirds". LISTEN

March 28 BRENDAN JAMES: With his warm, rich tenor and emotionally powerful songs, Brendan James announced himself as an artist-to-watch on his dazzling debut album, "The Day Is Brave". Influenced by the understated simplicity of the Carly Simon, James Taylor, and Carole King records he grew up with, James knew he wanted his debut to sound natural and unaffected. James has played with Carly Simon, Joss Stone, Corrine Bailey Rae, Robert Cray, and Keb Mo, among others. LISTEN

April 4 THE FIXX: The '80s produced some great bands. The FIXX is one of them. After seminal hits such as “One Things Leads to Another,” “Red Skies,” “Saved By Zero” and “Stand or Fall,” The Fixx has always been very conscious of making sure it had something to say.
