Why Doesn't Londonderry Spray for Mosquitoes All Summer?
That's the latest question in our You Ask... Patch Answers series.

Last week, we reported that the town would be conducting mosquito spraying on Aug. 12 and 13 in advance of Old Home Days.
That prompted resident Jody Vermillion to ask the following question: "Why not spray for the whole summer? Why only when it's Old Home Days?"
We went straight to Richard Canuel, the town's health officer, for the answer. Here's what he had to say:
"We spray only as a precaution because of the evening outside activities where groups of people will be gathered. We also spray the schools and athletic fields."
Canuel also explained that spraying was conducted Sunday on the town's athletic fields.
