The World Championship of Public Speaking will be held in August in Las Vegas, Nevada this year. Tens of thousands of people from around the world will start competing this month to take the world stage in August. The contest starts right here in your own backyard.

Toastmasters International is an internationally recognized organization built to help you improve your communication and leadership skills. Locally, the CORE Toastmasters group meets every Monday night at the Marrion Gerrish Community Center at 39 W. Broadway in Derry, New Hampshire.

Club members practice presentations on everything from health to fitness to corporate issues. Each meeting is unique in that you never know what you will hear, what information you will learn or what will inspire you.

Members that have completed at least six speeches are eligible to compete in the club speech contest. Winners of the contest will go onto the area, division, district, regional and finally international contest round.

Most World Champions of Public Speaking have gone on to monetize their ability to inspire, convince and persuade other speakers to hone their speaking skills.
