Wind Chills Hit NH this Week

Expect very cold temperatures until Wednesday, Thursday when rain is possible in some parts of New Hampshire.

It’s Spring but, no, it doesn’t feel like it. In fact, it’s downright freezing outside and will be this way for a bit longer.

AccuWeather.com is calling for very cold temperatures and wind chills for the first part of the week, with “abnormally cold” temps for this time of the year. Forecasters are also warning that the rest of the month will offer below normal temperatures as well as melting and re-freezing conditions for the early part of Spring which could cause black ice conditions in some areas that still have snow.

The National Weather Service is calling for wind gusts as high as 25 to 35 mph around the state on Sunday night, Monday, and Tuesday, which, combined with the abnormally low temperatures, will make it feel like it is below zero outside at times.

Those showers are expected to continue into Thursday and possibly Friday morning. The weekend, however, looks pretty good.
