1. Committee backs new policy governing AI use in Manchester schools (unionleader.com) — Manchester school officials are advancing a new policy that tightly governs how artificial intelligence can be used in city classrooms, emphasizing transparency, academic integrity, and data privacy. The proposal, which approves only three AI platforms and relies heavily on teacher judgment for enforcement, now heads to the full school board for a vote next month.    

2. Boston MedFlight expansion celebrated at Manchester open house (inklink.news) — Manchester residents now have faster access to life-saving air medical transport thanks to Boston MedFlight’s new base at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport, celebrated Thursday with an open house. Local officials toured the helicopter, learned about its advanced equipment, and highlighted how the expanded service will cut response times and strengthen critical-care options across southern New Hampshire.    

3. Mark Delisle indicted for stabbing death of Yan Leek in Manchester (unionleader.com) — A Manchester resident has been indicted on a second-degree murder charge in the January stabbing death of a Londonderry man, after police found the victim on Barry Avenue near Spruce Street. The case, which has already moved through Manchester’s 9th Circuit Court, is now headed toward Superior Court, with arraignment set for early May.    

4. New Hampshire House passes bill targeting scammers using crypto ATMs (wmur.com) — A Manchester police detective is backing a new state bill that would cap daily deposits at crypto ATMs and add refund and receipt rules to better protect seniors from scams. The House passed the Senate’s version after rejecting a rewrite, giving local law enforcement new tools while allowing cities and towns, including Manchester, to set their own restrictions.    

5. 11 selected as semifinalists for New Hampshire's Teacher of the Year (unionleader.com) — A Green Acres Elementary School teacher in Manchester, Kimberly Lynch, is among 11 semifinalists statewide for New Hampshire’s Teacher of the Year award. The list, announced Thursday by the state Department of Education, highlights standout educators from Manchester and several other districts, with finalists to be chosen in May and a winner expected in June.
