Manchester zoning board denies two requests for rehearings (unionleader.com) — Manchester’s zoning board has refused to rehear two recent, closely watched variance cases, including a contested Ray Street subdivision and a 30‑plus unit housing proposal near East Side Plaza and the Rockingham Rail Trail. Board members said opponents offered no new information, stressing that simple dissatisfaction with outcomes isn’t enough to trigger another hearing, a stance that could shape future development debates in the city.
2. Police investigate stabbing at South Willow convenience store (inklink.news) — Emergency crews rushed to the Alltown Fresh/Mobil station on South Willow Street in Manchester after a man was stabbed multiple times, suffering heavy blood loss before being taken to Elliot Hospital. Manchester Police have secured the gas station, are interviewing witnesses, and the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office is monitoring the ongoing investigation.
3. Jewell Anfinson named to SNHU Dean's List (timesenterprise.com) — Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester has named student Jewell Anfinson to its Spring 2026 Dean’s List, recognizing strong academic performance. The private nonprofit university, based on a 300-acre Manchester campus and online, now serves more than 200,000 learners worldwide across roughly 200 degree and certificate programs.
4. Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Manchester, SNHU team up for STEM Launch Lab (unionleader.com) — Families in Manchester can now sign up kids entering grades 5–8 for a new five-week STEM Launch Lab run by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Manchester and SNHU this July and August. Sessions split time between the Union Street Clubhouse and SNHU’s campus, cover topics from race car engineering to drones, and cost $325 per week with a five-week discount available.
