Men From Manchester Get Prison Time On Fentanyl Subsequent Sale Charges, New Hampshire AG’s Office Says

CONCORD, NH — Two men from Manchester have been convicted on fentanyl sale charges in Hillsborough County Superior Court North, according to the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office.

Christopher Scaniffe, 40, of Manchester, was sentenced Tuesday after pleading guilty to one count of conspiracy to sell a controlled drug, subsequent offense, and one count of sale of a controlled drug, subsequent offense. He was sentenced to 7.5 to 15 years in state prison on the conspiracy charge. On the sale charge, the court imposed an additional 7.5 to 15 years in prison, suspended for 10 years from the date of his release on the conspiracy sentence.

Shea Schlander, 42, also of Manchester, was sentenced in March to 6 to 12 years in prison on a charge of conspiracy to sell a controlled drug, subsequent offense. On related charges of sale of a controlled drug, subsequent offense, and possession of a controlled drug with intent to sell, subsequent offense, the court sentenced Schlander to 7.5 to 15 years in state prison, suspended for 10 years from the date of release on the conspiracy sentence.

According to the attorney general's office, between January and July 2024, Scaniffe and Schlander engaged in a conspiracy to sell substantial quantities of fentanyl in Manchester. During the investigation, and assisted by Schlander, Scaniffe engaged in a series of fentanyl sales to multiple confidential informants and to an undercover officer, according to the announcement. The sales were for as much as 100 grams of fentanyl at a time. Schlander was found possessing about 1.2 kilograms of fentanyl with intent to sell in Manchester in March 2024.

The attorney general's office said the investigation and resolution of the cases resulted from collaborative efforts by the office's Drug Prosecution Unit, the New Hampshire State Police Narcotics and Investigations Unit, and the Manchester Police Department. No additional court dates or proceedings were listed in the announcement.
