• New York man accused of using fraudulent credit card to purchase $13,400 in Pokémon cards in Bristol County, stolen cards still missing (fallriverreporter.com) — Manchester police helped identify a New York man suspected of using a fraudulent credit card to buy high-value Pokémon cards in Raynham, Massachusetts, after a local card shop in Manchester reported a similar attempt. Officers stopped the suspect in Manchester driving the same rental Mercedes, leading to charges in Massachusetts, though the stolen cards have not been recovered and all allegations remain unproven in court.
• Darbster Rescue finds new home for adoptions at Merrimack Premium Outlets (unionleader.com) — Darbster Rescue has moved its adoption center from the Mall of New Hampshire in Manchester to the Merrimack Premium Outlets, where dogs and cats are already finding new homes quickly. The nonprofit still operates other facilities in Manchester and Chichester, and staff say the new outlet setting offers more green space, dog-friendly shops, and a welcoming way to introduce shoppers to animal rescue.
• NH-01 Congressional candidate shares 'Medicare for all' position (wmur.com) — NH-01 Democratic candidate Christian Urrutia used a Manchester press conference to center his campaign on a strong "Medicare for all" stance, rooted in his own stroke and heart-surgery experience. He told local voters that access to lifesaving care should never depend on income, employer, or luck, and pledged to make universal coverage his first priority if elected.
