Manchester School Board to vote on transgender athlete policy (wmur.com) — Manchester's School Board is set to vote on updating its transgender athlete policy to align with a 2024 New Hampshire law requiring students to play on teams matching their birth-certificate sex. The superintendent says the change simply brings district rules in line with state and federal law, and residents can speak during public comment at tonight's 6:30 p.m. meeting.
2. Winners of the 2026 Manchester Tender Townies Chicken Tender Passport announced (inklink.news) — Manchester food lovers just wrapped up the 2026 Tender Townies Chicken Tender Passport, where locals sampled tenders at 12 Queen City spots and helped crown Diz's Downtown as this year's favorite. Raffle prizes included a Fisher Cats luxury suite and free tenders from Red Arrow, with Mayor Jay Ruais on hand to certify a handful of "Chicken Tender Aficionados."
3. TV Meteorologist Makes a Move Within Hearst and Within New England (newsblues.com) — Manchester viewers will soon see a new face on WMUR's weather team as meteorologist Marissa Vigevani transfers from Hearst's Burlington NBC affiliate to the ABC station here. She says she's excited to keep forecasting New England storms while continuing her career within Hearst Television.
4. Haverhill man convicted in Manchester hotel child sex-trafficking sting (unionleader.com) — Law enforcement say a Haverhill, Mass., man has been convicted in federal court after arranging to meet who he believed was a 12-year-old girl at a Manchester hotel during a 2024 sting. The case is part of ongoing operations targeting child exploitation in Manchester, where several others have already been convicted.
