Backed by a $360 million partnership with EPA and the state, the Cemetery Brook Drain Tunnel is already ahead of schedule toward its 2029 completion.

This New Hampshire school is a top 'hidden gem' colleges ranking finds (granitepostnews.com) β Manchester's own Saint Anselm College has been named the No. 42 "hidden gem" college in the country, with a strong acceptance rate and solid starting salaries for graduates. The University of New Hampshire at Manchester also made the list, giving local students two nationally recognized options close to home among other standout schools across the U.S.

Joppa Hill Educational Farm to benefit from 5-day charitable gaming run at Revo Casino (inklink.news) β Manchester residents can support Bedford's Joppa Hill Educational Farm by visiting Revo Casino and Social House in Manchester from Oct. 3β7, when a share of gaming revenue will benefit the farm. Funds will help care for animals, support staff, and sustain camps and community programs that connect local families with New Hampshire's agricultural heritage.

New Hampshire drought conditions mostly unchanged after nor'easter, report says (wmur.com) β From Manchester, state officials report that nearly all of New Hampshire remains abnormally dry or in moderate drought despite last weekend's nor'easter. While conditions are better than last year's severe drought, only a small part of southwest Hillsborough and Cheshire counties currently escapes dryness, keeping water concerns on the radar for Manchester-area residents.

5. Sununu answers voters' questions on energy policy, housing costs (wmur.com) β In a Manchester taping of "Conversation with the Candidate," Republican U.S. Senate hopeful John E. Sununu fielded voter questions on soaring energy prices and housing affordability. He argued for boosting domestic energy production, expanding natural gas and transmission infrastructure, and loosening federal restrictions on housing funds so New Hampshire can tailor solutions to local needs.
