Oct. 17: Valley Cemetery tour (inklink.news) — Manchester residents can explore historic Valley Cemetery on a guided walking tour led by Parks & Recreation and local historians on Saturday, Oct. 17. For $10, you'll learn about the grounds' vegetation, maintenance, and burial history, but space is limited to 50 people and advance registration is required.
3. 'Keep going, and keep getting better' - Manchester superinte... (unionleader.com) — Manchester's superintendent is highlighting a "whole human" approach as the district advances $306 million in school projects, including a $35.4 million renovation at McLaughlin Middle School and a new Beech Street Elementary. With building closures, grade shifts, and construction stretching to 2028, families, businesses, and community partners are being urged to stay involved as schools tackle attendance, behavior, and staffing challenges.
4. Get ready for Greater Manchester 'Tradition and Taste' Restaurant Week: Oct. 22–Nov. 1 (inklink.news) — Greater Manchester Restaurant Week is returning Oct. 22–Nov. 1, giving Manchester residents 11 days of special menus, promotions, and live entertainment centered around the Palace Theatre and more than 20 local restaurants. Organizers hope neighbors will explore downtown, pair dinners with the Palace's production of Fiddler on the Roof, and support the city's food, arts, and business community.
5. Second half surge leads Manchester Central to FNF game of the week (wmur.com) — Manchester Central High School earned Friday Night Football's game of the week after a strong second-half performance in a 24–18 win over Alvirne. The roundup also shares scores for Manchester Memorial, Manchester West, and other New Hampshire teams, giving local fans a quick snapshot of how area programs are performing this season.
