Because Our Heroes are Worth Your Time
Manchester, NH, June 21st. At 9 AM we are walking/running/rucking/hiking 5 Kilometers along the Dan Beard Trail at Camp Carpenter in Manchester NH. We are doing this to show support for a global initiative started by the folks at https://www.22untilnone.org, a National Non-Profit organization which strives to show our Veterans they never have to carry the burden of mental health issues alone.
The national average for Veterans who commit suicide is 22 per day. Most often this is because our warriors are battling demons, and they feel there is nowhere to turn. Since 2020, 22 Until None has hosted this event and it has become bigger each year. For the second straight year, Scouting America’s Daniel webster Council has welcomed us to their facility. Please join us for this family and leashed dog friendly event. There will be free food, games, like-minded individuals and Resource Tables along with some Community Representatives all with one goal in mind: Showing our Warfighters there is always somebody to carry their pack when they need it. Camp Carpenter is located at 300 Blondin Road in Manchester NH. The Dan Beard Trail is a low challenge that encircles the area with beautiful views throughout the Camp. There are restrooms available, and the event is rain or shine.
Some folks walk in comfortable clothes and shoes. Others put on a backpack with weights inside and wear boots. There are also others who run this for time or their daily exercise and many in between.
This is a free event and no fundraising is permitted. Go to https://www.22untilnone.org/event-details/operation-mercury-v-manchester-new-hampshire/form to register.
There will also be registration on the day of the event.
