Kids Struck By Vehicle In Manchester, Police Investigating

MANCHESTER, NH — Two children were injured after being struck by a vehicle on Harvard Street in Manchester on Wednesday afternoon, according to police.

Just after 4:15 p.m., police and fire and rescue teams were sent to Harvard Street, between Maple and Beech streets, for a report of a child struck by a vehicle. When they arrived, they found that two children, 7 and 8, were struck.

“One child was transported to a local hospital for a serious but non-life-threatening injury,” Lt. Emmett Macken of the Manchester Police Department said. “The other child was treated on scene for (a) minor injury.”

Police identified all the parties involved, he said, and the cause and factors of the crash were still under investigation.

Macken did ask anyone with information about the incident to contact the department’s traffic unit at 603-668-8711.
