Montagne Powers Names Scargill, Knuckles To Senior Roles At The Firm

The Manchester communications company said its two new hires will support client strategy, media relations and messaging.

MANCHESTER, NH — Montagne Powers has hired Kelly Scargill as senior account director and Chloe Knuckles as senior account executive, adding two communications professionals to the firm's team.

According to the company, Scargill and Knuckles bring experience in public relations and strategic communications from both agency and in-house roles. Montagne Powers described itself as a full-service public relations and strategic communications firm serving New England.

In her new role, Scargill will counsel clients, oversee accounts and lead strategic communications, media relations, crisis communications and thought leadership programs, according to the company. The company said she has more than 20 years of experience. Before joining Montagne Powers, Scargill served as executive director of public relations and communications for SolutionHealth, which was co-founded by Elliot Health System and Southern New Hampshire Health.

Before that, Scargill spent 10 years at Keene State College as director of strategic communications and community relations, according to the company. The company also said she worked in advocacy for the Ocean Conservancy and First Book in Washington, D.C., and practiced public relations in the tech industry in California, where she began her career with large advertising and PR agencies. Scargill holds a master's degree in public administration from The George Washington University and a bachelor's degree in communications and business from the University of Pittsburgh, according to the company.

In her role at Montagne Powers, Knuckles leads media relations, content creation and messaging efforts, helping clients raise visibility through storytelling and targeted outreach, according to the company. Before joining the firm, she spent five years at Cru of Two, a boutique public relations agency in Boston, where she worked with lifestyle and consumer brands in footwear, food, home décor, sustainability, and higher education.

The company said Knuckles secured national media coverage, developed strategic media outreach plans, coordinated press interviews and supported experiential events. It also said she assisted with proactive communications and crisis communications work. Knuckles graduated from Gordon College with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a minor in Art.
