5 Things: Get Free Music With Library Card
Freegal has landed and now you can download music to keep with your Merrimack Public Library membership.

1. Download free music. The Library has recently purchased a one-year subscription to Freegal where, using your library card number, you can download three MP3 songs each week! The titles are from the extensive Sony Music entertainment catalog; the music is free, legal and yours to keep forever. To get started, head to the Merrimack Library website and follow the directions to launch your Freegal downloading opportunities.
2. School Board. The Merrimack School Board will meet tonight for a regularly-scheduled meeting at 7:30 p.m. in the Matthew Thornton Room at Town Hall. On the agenda is a third discussion of the 2013-14 school calendar and the 2013 graduation date will be set. The full agenda is attached as a PDF above.
3. Golden Skate Challenge. Clear your calendar for Tuesday evening and head to Hooksett for the annual match up between the Merrimack High School hockey team and the Merrimack Police Department in the 13th annual Golden Skate Challenge. The game begins at 7 p.m. at the Ice Den in Hooksett off Exit 10 on I-93. Admission is $3 and all proceeds go to Special Olympics of New Hampshire.

4. Easter Egg Hunt. The Merrimack Parks and Recreation Dept. and Merrimack Friends and Family invite the children of Merrimack to the 21stannual Easter Egg Hunt to be held at Wasserman Park on Saturday, March 23. This rain or shine event for Merrimack residents only, will start promptly at 10 a.m. for children age 2-10. Starting at 10 am in the Function Hall, Merrimack Friends and Family will be hosting Breakfast and a Bake Sale. The Easter Bunny will be available during breakfast for pictures. Remember your camera and best smiles! Donations will be accepted with thanks! The Easter Bunny will have areas of Wasserman Park set up for various age groups. There will be a Toddler Easter Egg Hunt for children ages 2 and 3 to start at 11 a.m. Other areas of the park will be set up for children ages 4 and 5 to start at 11:15 a.m., children ages 6 and 7 to start at 11:30 a.m., and children aged 8-10 to start at 11:45 a.m. Please allow enough time to find the appropriate area for your child’s age group. 5. Winter weather. The forecast for today looks pretty decent during the day, but a winter storm is expected to roll in tonight and last into Tuesday afternoon. During the day, expect sunny skies with a high near 37. Tonight, snow moves in, mainly after 1 a.m. Low around 28. New snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.
