70 mph in a 30 Zone Leads to DWI Charges: Cops
Merrimack Police arrest Gino Bruno after he was allegedly clocked speeding on the Daniel Webster Highway.

MERRIMACK, NH - A local man is facing numerous drunk driving charges after a traffic stop early this morning on the Daniel Webster Highway, according to police.
Gino J. Bruno, 45, of London Court in Merrimack, was arrested on March 29, 2016, and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, aggravated operating under the influence of liquor, operating under the influence of liquor-per-se, and speeding.

At just before 1:30 a.m., an officer reportedly observed a motorist driving north near the Anheuser Busch plant at a high rate of speed.

The officer clocked the vehicle at “in excess of 70 mph” in a 40 mph zone, according to Lt. Matthew Tarleton of the Merrimack Police Department.
“Upon stopping the vehicle, the driver was identified as the above Gino J. Bruno,” Tarleton noted. “While questioning Bruno about the speed violation, the officer noted signs of possible alcohol impairment. After further investigation, it was determined that Bruno was driving while intoxicated and he was placed under arrest.”
Bruno was released on person recognizance bail and is due in court next month.
