Alleged Merrimack Burglar Arrested

Police arrested John Kelly after an investigation by police into a break-in late last month.

MERRIMACK, NH - A local man will be in court next month after allegedly breaking into a garage and stealing a generator, according to police.

John J. Kelly, 37, of Fairway Drive in Merrimack, was arrested on April 5, 2016 and charged with felony burglary.

Police were sent to a home in the North End on April 5, to investigate a burglary incident that took place on March 29.

The homeowner, according to police, discovered a rear door had been forced open and then, found that a portable generator had been stolen.

“Merrimack Police conducted interviews of witnesses and subsequently issued an arrest warrant for Kelly for the residential burglary,” according to Detective Scott Park.

Kelly is due in court on May 17.
