Alleged Reckless Driver Arrested

Merrimack Police charge Tyler Paul after complaints on Everett Turnpike, local streets.

A Merrimack man was arrested on driving charges earlier this week after tipsters complained about his driving.

Tyler Paul, 22, of Northwood Drive in Merrimack, was arrested on Sept. 20, 2015, and charged with reckless driving and disobeying an officer.

At around 6:20 p.m., police began receiving tips from other drivers about problems with a vehicle on the Everett Turnpike and some side streets in town, reportedly cutting off other drivers and almost causing accidents, according to a report..

Officers were sent to Greeley Street by Amherst Road and attempted to stop the vehicle.

“The driver of the vehicle, identified as Paul,” according to Mptl. Sean McGuire of the Merrimack Police Department, “continued to drive and did not pull the vehicle over for the involved officer for approximately a mile and did not stop until arriving at his residence.”

Paul was arrested and released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail. He’s due in court on Oct. 8.
