“Upon checking the area, police located two subjects on foot, walking away from a parked vehicle, in the area of the Lawrence and Bedford Road intersection,” noted Lt. Matthew Tarleton in a press statement. “Those parties were subsequently identified as the above Angers and a juvenile. Upon investigating the initial complaint, both Angers and the juvenile denied any involvement in the reported incident, indicating that they were just out for a walk.”

The officers continued their investigation of the incident which also included viewing the video surveillance at the caller’s home. After that, “police were able to confirm that Angers and the juvenile entered the complainant’s property and tried to gain access to their vehicles,” according to Tarleton.

Police also allegedly found a bag of loose money inside a parked vehicle that Angers and the juvenile allegedly used to drive to the location. The officers obtained a warrant on April 20, to search the vehicle.

“The matter is still under investigation,” Tarleton stated.

Angers and the juvenile were arrested for prowling and trespassing and later, released. Angers is due in court on June 2; the charges against the juvenile will be dealt with in juvenile division court.

“This incident is another example of why the Merrimack Police department has been urging residents to lock their vehicles and do not valuable possessions in them,” Tarleton said.

Angers, according to a report on Amherst NH Patch, arrested in January 2015 for theft.
