• BAE Systems Wins $20M U.S. Army Contract for Soft Kill Active Protection System (orbitaltoday.com) — Merrimack plays a key role in a new $20 million U.S. Army contract, with BAE Systems’ local team providing research and development support for an advanced vehicle protection system. The project centers on “soft-kill” electronic countermeasures that confuse incoming threats instead of destroying them, and includes prototype systems built in Austin with technical backing from Merrimack-based staff.
